Lioness & Cub

This image was sketched back in 1981 but only just painted in oils in July 2001, this was because I was not quite happy with the image of the cub in the sketch, then by studying wildlife programmes and magazines I came across the image of a cub I liked. This image was painted on a canvas which was prepared by putting lumps of old oil paints on an then primed.
