A painting started in my early twenties but never completed until now, I had problems with the correct position of the bird until I seen exactly what I needed in a magazine in a Doctor's waiting room.

There was a dispute over fishing coastal rights on the news. I painted this image to show the bird is fishing for survival and not for commercial gain like the boats in the distant or for fun like the fishing man on the rock to the right
