A very strong, powerful and touching subject and I am fascinated by how people view their meanings around religion. The complexities of simplicity will just mathematically add up to the more good you do the less bad, this will equate to a nicer life for all, its just as simple as that.

Forgive them

I am trying to capture the moment of forgiveness. After several sketches I tried in my early teens, I finally sketched one I liked. I only painted this version many years later in 1990 in my thirties when my painting skills could produce a good standard of work in color.

Forgive them Lord he’s trying to say,

For all the sins that man has made,

Tied on the cross, bound at the feet,

My work on earth was not complete,

With tears of blood I cry, I weep,

Frustration and pity I cannot sleep,

I’ve died I know, was it in vain,

Some day soon I’ll rise again,

Forgive them Lord and pray for them,

After all they're only men.
