This image is very strong and powerful, this is the kind of thought process I want  the viewer to have, hoping it might lead them to the true meaning of the image, which is, was the meaning of Christ a waste of time, or even painting this image a waste of time, or is the candle burning the light of time a waste. Whatever the viewer feels about this image it has had the effect required of it.

We can't stop the candle that's burning time away

The flame that burns so brightly will flicker, move and sway

There's no time for regret , for all the things you do

How much time is wasted is completely up to you

Did Christ waste his time or the artist waste his too

The candle of life is burning no leniency for him me or you
